2019-2022 Prescribed Port Services Price Determination
The Commission is required to make a determination relating to the charges fixed by a private port operator of a designated port for the provision of prescribed services.

The Commission has released its 2019-2022 Prescribed Port Services Price Determination for the Port of Darwin.
The Commission’s price determination sets out how it will monitor and report on prices, requirements for the publication of prices, changes to prices, and reporting obligations for the private port operator.
At the end of 2018, the Commission released the 2019-2022 Prescribed Port Services Draft Price Determination for the Port of Darwin for consultation and received two submissions. The Final Price Determination was released in February 2019.
Under the ports access and pricing regime, a price determination cannot have effect for more than 3 years, and the price determination will expire on 15 February 2022.
