The Commission issued an electricity retail licence to the Power Generation Corporation (trading as Territory Generation) for the sale of electricity to the Department of Defence for use at the Joint Defence Facility Pine Gap, located in Alice Springs, with effect from 29 November 2019.
The Commission received an application from Power Generation Corporation (trading as Territory Generation) for a licence to sell electricity in accordance with the Electricity Reform Act 2000.
Territory Generation sought to sell electricity solely to the Department of Defence for use at the Joint Defence Facility Pine Gap, in Alice Springs.
The Commission consulted with stakeholders as part of considering the application, including publishing an extract from Territory Generation's application and requesting feedback.
On 29 November 2019, the Commission issued a electricity retail licence to Territory Generation for the sale of electricity solely to the Department of Defence or use at the Joint Defence Facility Pine Gap, in Alice Springs.
