Generation licence application – Airport Development Group Pty Ltd

The Commission received an application from Airport Development Group Pty Ltd for a licence to generate electricity.

Status: withdrawn

The Commission approved a generation licence be issued to Airport Development Group Pty Ltd, subject to the Airport Development Group updating its access agreement with the Power and Water Corporation. However, the application was withdrawn before the licence was executed.

The Airport Development Group Pty Ltd sought to operate solar photovoltaic facilities within the land boundaries of Darwin International, Alice Springs and Tennant Creek Airports.

Following consultation, the Commission approved the Airport Development Group's generation licence for existing solar generation facilities at Darwin International, Alice Springs and Tennant Creek Airports, subject to the Airport Development Group updating its access agreement with the Power and Water Corporation. However, the licence was never executed. The application was withdrawn on 26 August 2022.
