Codes and guidelines
Under the Electricity Reform Act 2000 and Utilities Commission Act 2000, the Commission may make various codes and guidelines. The codes and guidelines currently in force are:

Northern Territory Electricity Ring-fencing Code
Electricity Retail Supply Code
Compliance Framework and Reporting Guidelines
Register of code exemptions
The Commission publishes details of exemptions issued under its codes. The register supports transparency by enabling stakeholders to access current, approved exemptions, including the reason, and expiry date or conditions.
