Access regulation

The ports access and pricing regime requires the private port operator to prepare and submit an Access Policy for the Port of Darwin to the Commission for approval. The Commission has approved the private port operator’s Access Policy, which the private port operator must comply with.

As the private port operator is required to report to the Commission annually on any material instances of non-compliance with its Access Policy, the Commission has published Reporting Guidelines for the Port of Darwin which set out reporting requirements.
