The Commission approved and issued a generation licence to EDL Jabiru Pty Ltd, with effect from 15 October 2021.
EDL Jabiru Pty Ltd, part of the EDL Group, sought a generation licence in respect of the Jabiru power station, an 11.4 MW hybrid power station, with an associated 3 MW battery energy storage system, to supply electricity to the town of Jabiru and to sell electricity to entities holding a retail or generation licence.
Following consultation, the Commission approved a generation licence to be issued to EDL Jabiru Pty Ltd to generate electricity from the Jabiru power station and sell the electricity to other electricity entities holding a retail or generation licence.
