Extension for date of submission of Compliance Reports to 30 October 2015

In July 2015, the Utilities Commission issued draft Compliance Framework and Reporting Guidelines to supplement its Statement of Approach on Compliance and sought comments from stakeholders.

The Guidelines include, among other things, a requirement for annual compliance reporting, and an annual declaration from the Board of Directors in the form of a Compliance Report to be submitted to the Commission by 31 August each year in relation to compliance during the preceding financial year.

The Commission has considered the submissions received from stakeholders and is currently finalising the Guidelines.

For the 2014-15 reporting year, the Commission has approved an extension to the date for submission of Compliance Reports from 31 August to 30 October 2015.

The final Guidelines will be issued shortly. In late 2015, the Commission will consolidate both its Statement of Approach on Compliance and the final Guidelines into one document.

Queries should be directed to the Utilities Commission at Utilities.Commission@nt.gov.au or 08 8999 5480.
