Final Compliance Framework and Reporting Guidelines
The Commission has published its final Compliance Framework and Reporting Guidelines. In July 2015, the Utilities Commission issued draft Compliance Framework and Reporting Guidelines to supplement its Statement of Approach on Compliance and sought comments from stakeholders.
The Guidelines include, among other things, a requirement for annual compliance reporting, and an annual declaration from the Board of Directors in the form of a Compliance Report to be submitted to the Commission by 31 August each year in relation to compliance during the preceding financial year.
For the 2014-15 reporting year, the Commission has extended the date for submission of Compliance Reports to 30 November 2015.
During the consultation process the Commission received four submissions from stakeholders. Three of these submissions are made publicly available and one was identified by the submitting party as confidential. The Commission’s consideration of the submissions is provided in the Summary of Responses.
The Commission intends to consolidate both its existing Statement of Approach on Compliance and the final Guidelines into one document in late 2015. Queries should be directed to the Utilities Commission at utilities.commission@nt.gov.au or +61 8999 5480.
