Notice of Variation to the Electricity Retail Supply Code

In accordance with section 24(6) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission gives notice that it intends to make an administrative variation to the Electricity Retail Supply Code (the Code) to reflect that the Retailer of Last Resort (RoLR) is the Power Retail Corporation (trading as Jacana Energy).

The Code was published in 2011, prior to the structural separation of Power and Water Corporation (PWC) into separate retail, generation and network business units and refers to PWC as the RoLR in the Code.

As part of structural separation of PWC, the functions of the RoLR were transferred to the Power Retail Corporation (trading as Jacana Energy).

All references to Power and Water Corporation (Retail) in the context of the RoLR will be amended to Jacana Energy, effective from 1 December 2015.

In accordance with section 24(7) of the Utilities Commission Act, a notice of the variation will be published in the Gazette.
