08 Feb 2018

Consultation: Submission Received for Generation Licence - Katherine Solar Pty Ltd

The Commission received an application from Katherine Solar Pty Ltd for a licence to generate electricity in accordance with Section 21 of the Electricity Reform Act.

In accordance with good regulatory practice, the Commission sought comments on the licence applications from market participants and stakeholders. Two submissions have been received.

Territory Generation submission – generation licence application from Katherine Solar

Power and Water System Control submission – generation licence application from Katherine Solar

Power and Water System Control submission attachment – draft Generation Performance Standards

As part of System Control’s submission, System Control has provided draft ‘Generator Performance Standards’ (GPS). This draft is more mature than the version submitted in December (see Katherine Solar application) and requires further development. System Control plans to issue an updated version for consultation in due course. However, if you have any comments on the draft, please contact System Control. The latest GPS have been submitted by System Control to provide the Utilities Commission, Katherine Solar and other interested parties an indication of possible future generator standards, so that potential generators can take into account these possible changes.

For further information go to Consultation on licence applications.

Any comments or queries should be directed to Utilities Commission Office at utilities.commission@nt.gov.au or 08 8999 5480.
