Generation licence not proceeding – Infigen Energy NT Solar Pty Ltd

The Commission received a generation licence application from Infigen Energy NT Solar Pty Ltd (Infigen) on 4 December 2017, for two 10 MW solar photovoltaic generation facilities at Batchelor and Manton Dam.

The Commission published the application and sought feedback from stakeholders by 27 April 2018. Two submissions were received, from the Power and Water Corporation and Territory Generation, which were published on the Commission’s website.

The Commission approved the licence application on 16 November 2018, with the execution of the generation licence subject to the finalisation of a Generator User Agreement with the Power and Water Corporation.

On 19 September 2019, Infigen advised the Commission that it had successfully transferred the projects to Eni Australia Limited, and therefore it is no longer seeking to pursue a generation licence.
