Notification of existing Dedicated Connection Assets

The Commission is seeking notifications of existing Dedicated Connection Assets (DCA) to be grandfathered by 1 August 2020.

Under section 19(4) of the National Electricity (Northern Territory) (National Uniform Legislation) Act 2015, an existing DCA owner must notify the Commission of their existing DCA in the Territory by 1 August 2020 to enable the DCA to be grandfathered. The notification must be in a form determined by the Commission , which is available on the Commission’s website.

The definition of a DCA can be found in Chapter 10 of the National Electricity Rules as in force in the Northern Territory.

In accordance with the National Electricity (Northern Territory) (National Uniform Legislation) Act 2015, all DCA notifications will be included in a public register that will be made available on the Commission’s website.

Completed forms should be emailed to the Utilities Commission Office at utilities.commission@nt.gov.au by 1 August 2020.
