Variation to the Electricity Retail Supply Code

The Commission has varied the Electricity Retail Supply Code, with the variation to the code to commence on 8 February 2025.

The Electricity Retail Supply Code has been varied to implement a fulsome and legally enforceable retailer of last resort scheme in the Territory which will ensure that in the event of an electricity retailer failure, arrangements are in place to ensure that relevant customers continue to receive electricity supply.

The Commission’s Final Decision Paper provides detail on the Commission’s amendments to the code, following consideration of submissions to its Consultation Paper.
