  • Approval of Power and Water Corporation’s 2021-22 system control charges
12 Apr 2021

Approval of Power and Water Corporation’s 2021-22 system control charges

The Commission has assessed and approved Power and Water Corporation’s 2021-22 system control charges to be applied by the power system controller from 1 July 2021.

On 31 March 2021, Power and Water Corporation submitted to the Commission its 2021-22 Annual Pricing Proposal for System Control and Market Operator charges.

The Commission has assessed the Pricing Proposal as compliant with the Commission’s System Control Charges Final Decision for the 2019-20 to 2023-24 regulatory period and as such, approved the proposed charges.

The charges approved for 2021-22 are the maximum that Power and Water Corporation can charge for services provided by the power system controller with respect to its regulated electricity networks.

More information regarding the regulation of system control charges and other electricity charges can be found on the electricity price regulation page.
