Consultation - Generation licence application - Darwin International Airport Pty Limited
The Commission has received an application from Darwin International Airport Pty Limited for a licence to generate electricity in accordance with the Electricity Reform Act 2000.
Darwin International Airport Pty Limited currently operates solar photovoltaic generation facilities at the Darwin International Airport. Darwin International Airport Pty Limited is seeking a generation licence which authorises the generation of electricity from these facilities for consumption by Darwin International Airport Pty Limited onsite, sale and supply to receivers located on the Darwin International Airport precinct land and sale and supply to on-suppliers for sale and supply to receivers located at the Darwin International Airport precinct.
The generation licence application is distinct from a generation licence application previously submitted by Airport Development Group, which has now been withdrawn.
In accordance with good regulatory practice, the Commission is seeking submissions regarding the licence application from system participants and stakeholders. Any submissions should be provided by 14 November 2022.
