Consultation – Issues Paper – Review of the Northern Territory Electricity Licensing Regime (stage 1)
The Commission invites submissions on its Northern Territory Electricity Licensing Regime Review - Issues Paper which considers the scope and design of the Territory’s electricity licensing regime by 5pm (CST) 3 June 2022.
The Commission performs licensing functions in the Territory’s electricity supply industry and has commenced a review of the operation of the licensing regime to ensure it remains relevant and effective in an evolving industry, market and regulatory environment. The Northern Territory Electricity Licensing Regime Review - Issues Paper has been released with input sought from stakeholders on matters relating to legacy arrangements, achievement of licensing objectives, the application of licensing to emerging technologies and business models, a framework for exemptions and the operation of the Small Scale Renewable Energy Operations Exemption.
