Progress Report - Alice Springs System Black recommendation implementation

The Commission has published the ninth Progress Report on the implementation of recommendations from the independent investigation of the Alice Springs System Black incident on 13 October 2019.

Following the Commission’s independent investigation, the Northern Territory Government Response accepted 14 of the Commission’s recommendations in whole and one in-principle. On request from the former Minister for Essential Services, the Commission publishes six-monthly progress reports, and will do so until all outstanding Alice Springs System Black actions are complete.

The ninth Progress Report advises that one recommended action, that PWC undertake a review into the under frequency load shedding scheme in Alice Springs, remains incomplete. However, notable progress has been made on this recommendation since the last progress report.
