2024-27 System Control and Market Operator Charges Review – Draft Decision on revenue and charges
The Commission has released and is consulting on its Draft Decision on the Northern Territory Electricity System and Market Operator’s (NTESMO) Revised Regulatory Proposal 2024-25 to 2026-27 and Draft 2025-26 Pricing Proposal - System Control and Market Operator for the 2024-27 regulatory period.
The Commission has decided not to approve NTESMO’s Revised Regulatory Proposal 2024-25 to 2026-27 and Draft 2025-26 Pricing Proposal - System Control and Market Operator for the 2024-27 regulatory period. The Draft Decision Paper explains the Commission’s decisions and associated reasoning in relation to revenue requirements and charges proposed by NTESMO and the next steps that NTESMO should take in response to the Commission’s draft decisions.
Submissions are due by 5pm (ACST) Monday 9 June 2025. To facilitate publication, submissions should be provided electronically by email to utilities.commission@nt.gov.au in Adobe Acrobat or Microsoft Word format.
The Commission advises stakeholders that requests for additional time to make submissions cannot be accommodated due to the short timeframe in which a schedule of charges must be approved to take effect for the regulatory year commencing 1 July 2025.
