2024-27 System Control and Market Operator Charges Review – Final Decision on revenue and charges

The Commission has released its Final Decision approving the Northern Territory Electricity System and Market Operator’s (NTESMO’s) June 2025 revenue and pricing proposal for the 2024 27 regulatory period including system control and market operator charges to be applied from 1 July 2025.

The Final Decision provides the Commission’s response to submissions on its Draft Decision and approval for NTESMO’s proposed maximum revenue requirements, and associated formulas for calculating annual charges and actual and indicative charges for the 2024-27 regulatory period.

The charges approved for 2025-26 are the maximum that NTESMO can charge for system control and market operator charges in respect to the Alice Springs, Darwin-Katherine and Tennant Creek power systems.
