  • Approval of NTESMO’s 2026-27 system control and market operator charges
30 Apr 2026

Approval of NTESMO’s 2026-27 system control and market operator charges

The Commission has approved the system control and market operator charges to be applied by the Power and Water Corporation’s Northern Territory Electricity System and Market Operator (NTESMO) for the period 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027.

In April 2026, the Power and Water Corporation submitted its 2026-27 annual pricing proposal and supporting model for system control and market operator charges to be applied by NTESMO as power system controller. The Commission has assessed the pricing proposal as compliant with the Commission’s Final Decision for 2024-27 regulatory period and has approved the proposed charges.

The charges approved for 2026-27 are the maximum that can be charged for services provided by NTESMO with respect to the Power and Water Corporation’s regulated electricity networks.

More information regarding the regulation of system control charges and other electricity charges can be found on the electricity price regulation page.
