Generation licence application - Environmental Keystones Pty Ltd
The Commission has received an application from Environmental Keystones Pty Ltd for a licence to generate electricity in accordance with the Electricity Reform Act 2000.
Environmental Keystones Pty Ltd operates a waste-to-energy facility at Wishart that generates renewable electricity from biogas produced through the thermal decomposition of green waste. Environmental Keystones Pty Ltd is seeking a generation licence authorising the generation of up to 2 MW of electricity and the export of electricity to the Darwin–Katherine Interconnected System.
In accordance with good regulatory practice, the Commission is seeking submissions regarding the licence application from system participants and stakeholders. Any submissions should be provided by COB Friday 24 July 2026.
