Recruitment for Associate Utilities Commissioners
Recruitment is underway for two Associate Utilities Commissioners for the Utilities Commission of the Northern Territory.
The Commission is an independent economic regulator responsible for regulated industries in the Northern Territory, including electricity, ports, water and sewerage.
Planned succession has created two opportunities for experienced professionals to contribute to the Commission’s next chapter and to the effective regulation of essential services for Territorians. Working with the Utilities Commissioner, the Associate Utilities Commissioners will contribute to regulatory decisions, strategic direction and oversight of the Commission’s work.
The appointments are flexible and part-time, approximately one day a week, and are expected to commence in late 2026 or early 2027, subject to relevant approval processes. Candidates must be available for periodic travel to the Northern Territory.
