Consultation - Generation licence application - EDL Jabiru Pty Ltd

The Commission has received an application from EDL Jabiru Pty Ltd for a licence to generate electricity in accordance with the Electricity Reform Act 2000.

EDL Jabiru Pty Ltd, part of the EDL group, is seeking to construct, own and operate an 11.4 MW hybrid power station, with an associated 3 MW battery energy storage system, to supply electricity to the town of Jabiru. The power station will generate electricity for sale to licensed retailers in Jabiru.

In accordance with good regulatory practice, the Commission is seeking submissions regarding the licence application from system participants and stakeholders. Any submissions should be provided by 5pm (CST) Wednesday 18 August 2021.
