Variation to Electricity Industry Performance Code

The Commission has varied the Electricity Industry Performance Code, which will commence on 1 July 2023.

The Electricity Industry Performance Code has been amended to incorporate changes to guaranteed service levels and payment amounts for Power and Water Corporation’s next five year network regulatory control period starting on 1 July 2024, and to address a number of issues identified by the Commission and licensees through the operation of the Code since 2017.

The Commission’s Final Decision – Electricity Industry Performance Code provides detail on the Commission’s final amendments, following consideration of submissions to its Draft Decision.

The Commission has also issued a direction, Electricity Industry Performance Code – Direction June 2023 (transitional matters), which provides clarification regarding reporting (clause 5) and periodic audit of data (clause 6.2) requirements, following the variation to the Electricity Industry Performance Code.
