Variation to the Electricity Retail Supply Code

The Commission has varied the Electricity Retail Supply Code, which will commence on 1 July 2023.

The Electricity Retail Supply Code has been amended to ensure its content and operation is of continued relevance and effectiveness for the Territory’s electricity supply industry, including through changes to credit support arrangements, coordination agreements, service order procedures, customer transfers, retailer of last resort arrangements and life support equipment provisions. The Electricity Retail Supply Code has also been amended to introduce new protections for electricity customers in relation to dispute resolution, hardship and family violence.

The Commission’s Final Decision – Electricity Retail Supply Code provides detail on the Commission’s amendments to the code, following consideration of submissions to its Draft Decision.

More information regarding the Electricity Retail Supply Code Review can be found on the project page.
