Consultation - Draft Decision - 2023 Review of RTA Gove Pty Ltd Licence Exemption

The Commission is reviewing the terms and conditions of the exemption document issued to RTA Gove Pty Ltd (previously Alcan Gove Pty Ltd) under section 87 of the Electricity Reform Act 2000 and has released its 2023 Review of RTA Gove Pty Ltd Exemption Document – Draft Decision for consultation.

In undertaking the review, the Commission is seeking stakeholder views concerning the appropriateness of the current exemption terms and conditions for the circumstances at Nhulunbuy, and whether alternative or additional conditions are needed.

Following consultation with stakeholders through the publication of a Consultation Paper and consideration of stakeholder feedback, the Commission has published its Draft Decision, along with a Draft Amended Exemption, and invites submissions from stakeholders by 5pm (ACST) Wednesday 17 April 2024.

More information about the Commission’s review can be found on the 2023 Review of Alcan/RTA Gove Pty Ltd Licence Exemption Document project page.
