2025 Northern Territory Electricity Outlook Report Update

The Utilities Commission has published its 2025 Northern Territory Electricity Outlook Report Update. The report provides a high-level qualitative assessment of changes in electricity supply and demand across the Darwin-Katherine, Alice Springs and Tennant Creek power systems, based on updated information received since the 2023 Northern Territory Electricity Outlook Report.

The 2025 Northern Territory Electricity Outlook Report Update does not include new modelling. Instead, it uses available data and advice from licensees to identify whether reliability risks have improved, worsened or remained the same in the short, medium and long term.
