Consultation on NTESMO initial proposal for the 2027-32 System Control and Market Operator charges review
The Commission is consulting on the Northern Territory Electricity System and Market Operator’s (NTESMO’s) initial proposal in relation to proposed charges for system control and market operator functions for the five-year period, from 1 July 2027 to 30 June 2032.

Notice of Approval Trade Waste Code - April 2026

Assessment of Network Outage Event on 7 March 2026 - Power and Water Corporation
The Commission has published an assessment under clause 5.4.4 of the Electricity Industry Performance Code for the purpose of verifying that a network outage event in the Katherine region on 7 March 2026 was outside of Power and Water Corporation’s control, and therefore able to be excluded from its network performance reporting and guaranteed service level payments.
Variation to Electricity Industry Performance Code
The Commission has varied the Electricity Industry Performance Code, which will commence on 1 July 2026.
Northern Territory Power System Performance Report 2024-25
The Utilities Commission has published the 2024-25 Northern Territory Power System Performance Review. The review provides an assessment of overall power system, network and generation performance in the Darwin-Katherine, Alice Springs and Tennant Creek power systems.
